WOW. Okay, what a rush this last day has been--so many extra credit stories finishing up, main stories getting completed at the last hour! I've kept track of points to the best of my ability, and here's where it all falls out
( Read more... )
I am so glad this is over, and yet, kinda sad really. I've never worked that hard on a fic before, or been so damned determined to get something done. I think I need a break, though. ;P Which was why I didn't touch my extra credit story!
HUGE HUGS to my fabulous the_b_team who stuck together, never became despondent no matter how bad it looked at times, and pulled it off!
And three cheers for svmadelyn for putting this thing together and getting our butts in gear! I never thought I'd actually write a 126-page story in 6 weeks -- but you got me to do it!
I have to say that I would never ever have finished my SWITCH fic without this challenge.
Annie is currently beta-ing The Thing (armed with a wip and a chainsaw) and I will be posting it as soon as she's done (I'm thinking next week, starting with the beginning and moving through to the exciting, truly cliched ending *G*). I'll put relevant info here.
I also have to say that the rest of the B Team made me feel like a complete slacker - I slogged and slogged and managed to finish my main story, while several women on my team not only finished their primary story, they did extra credit stories as well!
And finally, Dameange, who wrote her ass off and got her story done - she just blew me away by how hard she worked and how determined she was that she was not going to let any of us down.
It was a privilege to be teamed with everybody on B-Team - they all worked their butts off and were just great to be around!
yay for all of us!storydivagirlAugust 2 2005, 13:14:55 UTC
Goodness - look at all these stories and the extra credit ones! Everyone here rocks the casbah!
svmadelyn: I said it before, but THANK YOU for running this. Without this challenge I honestly doubt A New Journey would ever be finished (even in it's going-to-need-many-edits form that it is now)
To all the wip_a_team girls: You guys rocked and I couldn't have asked for better partners in crime for this thing! Y'all cheered each other on, offered aid, and we picked up each other's slack from time to time. But especially to makesmewannadie and akinaj for always making sure goals were posted and everything for our team was reported! Love you guys and so glad I got the chance to know you!

Thanks to Madelyn for organising this challenge.
And thanks to edgecity without who I would never have had the inspiration for my extra credit story.
