so, today was supposed to be the big day... but as I'm here updating livejournal, it's obviously not happening... unfortunately it suffered the double whammy of being something I had been looking forward to for months AND something I was anticipating with much enthusiasm... it was destined to fail, so I'm not really all that surprised
