My girlfriend's flight has been delayed... four times now. Maybe five.
She's been in Chicago for the last five hours, waiting.

Why does this seem so much worse than waiting nine months to see her?

In the end, she arrived at a quarter past twelve, rather than ten to nine as expected, but she is here, and it is good.
