Dancer had her annual physical Monday of this week and had the first of three shots for HPV. Fortunately it is the end of the semester for her, as she has only been to school one day this week due to the flu llike reaction it has had upon her. And I know she is not feeling well as she has not danced all week and it is looking like she is not going

My mother is a survivor of a very aggressive form of cervical cancer. While she may feel like crap now, Dancer will thank you for not developing this horrible disease.

What it looks like happened is that the vaccine weakened her immune system, allowing her to easily catch the first virus that came along. Also, since is part of the small percentage that is looking prone to passing out soon after taking the first round, he is strongly advising that she not take the next two rounds, as she will more than likely pass out. On the good side, the vaccine is an ever evolving one, so it dose not mean she can not try to be vaccinated in the future.
