Back at Joe's

Since my friends Beth and Lorraine and I had bought tickets to the June 24th "Our Hit Parade" back in April, we decided to go to NY, the place of so many good times with Katy, to reminisce and celebrate her life and have some laughs at a funny show. Our NY friend, Michael, joined us for the evening. A few days prior Bridget Everett had e-mailed ( Read more... )

Maureen,

I have tried to be a good fan by supporting the cast since back in 2001 and I try not to be obtrusive. Just hello, good show and once in awhile a snapshot.

Katy was a bit shy so I was always the one who would go up and speak first and then she would chime in. I like to think that she is on my shoulder now.

I looked for you by the way.

I sure hope so Gael. I took an album I had made of all our trips so the four of us could reminisce. There was one of you, Katy and me at Barnes and Noble and the group shot out front. Good times.

I wanted to use the picture as an icon but I just got a new printer, scanner, copier and digital camera and I haven't had time to figure out how to download pictures in my computer. I am not very technical but it will surface one of these days.

I was going to ask her about Leaving Barstow but then she mentioned the O'Neill and Beth looked it up when we got home but couldn't find out what she was doing. It pleases me no end that the cast is still close and support each other's work and once in awhile you get to see them too. I first met Jack Wetherill at one of Hal's appearances at Caroline's and Scott was there for Peter's play. Randy was in the audience at the first showing of Particles of Truth at Tribeca and I'm sure you have read of others.

I'll be darned. She could have meant that I guess and the irony is that Katy and I would probably have gone to see her there. At least Katy could have.

Glad you were able to go, Dixie. I have no doubt that Katy would have wanted you to carry on the Randy support!
