A Tale of Gale's Pants

Apr 15, 2010 13:29

Today I finally received my First Prize from Fay Ann and Canal Street Pictures. It is a pair of Levi Strauss jeans worn by Gale in the scene from Falling for Grace when Andrew and Grace are on the street eating donuts. They are 501's with a 34 inch waist and length.

Thanks for telling this story! I had no idea you
were the winner.

I would SO wear those pants -- LOL!

My old beta, Susan, won Brian's "memory jeans" from
Season 5 at some event in Atlanta, but she eventually
sold them on eBay (what is it about eBay and Gale's
clothes?).

You are certainly the Gale Pants Woman -- you need
to change your name now.

Ha! How I wish I could fit into those pants but he is a long tall drink of water and I am a tubful. I know Susan. Were those the tattered ones he wore with the flowered shirt when he and Mikey were reliving their teen years?

I hoped to leave all my QAF stuff to Katy so now I have to find another young fan who will treasure the stuff or my family will be selling on eBay someday.

GalePantsWoman does have a ring to it.

Now that I think about it I do remember Susan getting those jeans and then putting them up on eBay. I hope she got a good price.

I would change my name from Wirthwoman which was after actor Billy Wirth but it would be such a nuisance.

I saw that it has been 8 years and I was there at the beginning as you know. Ithyphallic was a favorite of mine for all the meanings it stands for so I will be reading it again.

You got them finally! Good for you.
I wouldn't worry about wearing them. Just imagine him in them. :)
So, did they send a donut with the jeans?
Maybe we should start a Gale Harold Museum and people could leave their things to it.
You could be the founder.

Oh I do imagine him wearing them...commando. I must get a mannequin to display my Gale clothing. A Gale Harold Museum sounds great and that would be the perfect place to will my treasures for all to see and fondle.

What can I say. I wanted a pair of his jeans and never dreamed I would win a pair 5 years later from a film. What I don't have are any "Randypants" though I am not fond of that term.

Damn I commented on this earlier but it must not have saved!

Where do you store these? I can't imagine them just hanging in the closet!! Brian Kinney never stays in the closet!!

I think they would look awesome in a shadowbox, I'm such a crafty person that's where mine would go and then onto the wall!

Congrats!!

I wanted the sapphire necklace too, it's my birth stone so it would have a double meaning!!!

If you ever wanna get rid of your collection this fangirl would be VERY interested!!

Items that I purchased at the set sale and on eBay other than clothing are displayed at various places in my house. Right now I have the clothing in a see through tub under my bed but I have seriously been thinking of purchasing a mannequin to dress since I also have wifebeaters, tees and a jacket that would go with the pants. I do hate to hide them but I am not crafty enough to make a display case and I have lots of posters and pictures on my walls so I have no room to hang anything else.

I'll keep you in mind since you are a young fan. Right now, I do enjoy having them and hope to have them for a long while.

be careful that the mannequin doesn't scare you in the night!
