about a month ago i found out that i was going to have a poem published that i sent into poetry.com and i was also entered in the contest to be in the top 10, of which the grand prize was $10,000. i wish i could tell you that i won that money, that would be simply amazing. but i didnt. but i did however win an Editor's Choice Award. but it ( Read more... )

i don't want to sound mean or anything, but every person who sends in a poem to that site it gets publish. mom says that it's a scam bc she sent them money for that sound of poetry crap and a plate thing...we have yet to receive it after it's been over a year.

sorry, if i busted your mood or anything. just don't want you to get caught up in a scam. :(

Yeah. I kind of suspected that, but I figured they would at least send you the CD after you gave them the money. I'm sorry that you got scammed, but I'm glad that you were able to save Colleen the trouble.

If you paid with a credit card, you could take up the matter with the credit card company. Since it's been a year, it might be too late to get your money back, but if enough people complain then eventually the credit card company will stop dealing with them and that will effectively put them out of business. Or at least it will slow them down.

I'm sure it was a good poem anyway, Colleen.
