Zelda was weak and tired and just a little upset. Dr. Zahler had come to visit and informed her that due to her blood pressure and just how sick she had been that they would be taking Gregory on Tuesday evening. Zelda was not pleased and she was impossibly frightened--Robert had not even been there to help explain it to her

"I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm--" Chase bursts into the room, breathless and with wild eyes. He skids to a stop before her, brow knitting in worry. "What is it? What's wrong? What happened, are you okay?"

Zelda shook her head. "I have pre-eclampsia. They are taking our Gregory on Tuesday."

Chase swallows, letting this sink in as he slowly sits down. "That was always a distinct possibility. She spoke with you? What did she say?" He leans forward, tense as he reaches for her hand. "It'll be all right, Zelda. This is best for you and Gregory, it really is. Everything will be okay."

"He is not supposed to be here yet," Zelda said softly, starting to cry. "He is...I barely have anything ready! I am not ready!"
