Chase hears the coughing, darting into the room. "Oh god, is it-- is the chemo making you nauseous again? Oh god, it's-- it's polio." He drops beside her, reaching for her forehead.

"Stay," she rasped, curling up when she was hit with another bout of coughing.

"I'll call in," Chase promises, brushing at her hair. "I don't-- come on, we're taking you to the hospital."
