[Locked from Mithos || voice]My apologies for not saying anything sooner, but it's time I said something about this... to hopefully prevent future incidents

[Raph groans at the sound of the knock at the door. At first, he's tempted to just pretend no one's home. He's not sure if April's around, Don and Leo are probably asleep, and he was having a perfectly nice time dozing just a second ago. But whatever.
After yelling at the top of his lungs for April to come answer it provides no response, he finally heaves himself off the couch and goes to answer it.
The minute he sees Raine standing there, he's completely caught off guard. Is he in trouble? Or maybe Don's in trouble. Maybe they're both in trouble. Who the shell knows. Don did tell her they were skipping classes for the winter, right?]
Uh - Professor. How's it goin'?
[He steps aside and out of the doorway to usher her inside, looking obliviously bewildered. On top of that, his face is drawn and his eyes are tired. Even the way he moves is sluggish despite his attempts to hide it.]
Hello, Raphael. [His unease is fairly obvious, but she steps inside once he shows her in.]
Things are going well enough, for me... I just thought I would come by to see how everyone has been doing. [There's Derek's... condition, not really having contact with the turtles at all for a few weeks, even after leaving gifts for the household, plus keeping in touch with April, but at least they spoke earlier.] How have you been?
[He doesn't want to talk about that. His expression hardens, but his eyes could give away how much he's hurting deep in the core of his heart. If someone could read such things.
He scrambles for a change of subject.]
You want me to get Donnie or -?
[Because she couldn't have possibly come looking for only him.]
Yes... that's fine. There will be other chances. [She's still feeling a bit odd about the school thing-- and doesn't know if Donatello would find her presence at the home uncomfortable.] If you could just let him know that I checked in, I would appreciate it. And April, and Derek, as well. ... Or I can leave them a note, if that would be easier on you.
Hm? It's been going well, despite the weather. With all the snow, I sometimes wonder if we should arrange to have the winter break last longer than just a few weeks. Although then I'm certain we'd get complaints if the semester went further into the summer than it does. [A wan smile, and she shakes her head. It's one of those 'you can't win if you do, can't win if you don't type jokes.]
That's also fair enough to note. Hm. We'll be in February soon... so we'll just take it one week at a time for now. We're soon due for some kind of incident interrupting things anyway.
[And here comes someone who loves experiments - at least, when he's the one performing them. Don stumbles through the room, looking very much like he just woke up. Completely oblivious to the presence of his brother and his teacher, he shuffles to the refrigerator, rattles around for a while, and comes up with some juice. After drinking half the glass it seems to slowly dawn on him that there are other people here.]

If he's doing all right, and still sleeping for now... I can always drop by at another time.

[His eyes wander around the room for a moment, trying to think of a way to make this less awkward.]
