Professor Sage, I'm available if you need me someone to help the students with their studies.

It will be my third year in about a week from now. Albert Silverberg has about six months on me, which is how we know the dates of the first new feather cycle. There are a few others who have been here between those dates, but... it's a falling number. Professor Gelda arrived about a month after me, as well.

Professor Raine, there's something about Mister Silverberg I wish to talk about. You and him both seem to know quite a bit about everything in Luceti and that is why, I was wondering if you could ask him to join us in a meeting when both of you return from the most recent draft.

He did record a visual history of Luceti during a Shift a some time ago... I've added it to the guide as well, if that might be of any help as well.

I don't think a meeting for us would be any trouble, once we've had the chance to settle in again. We can probably answer most things the same way, in any case.

Although-- that reminds me, I never did get the chance to speak to your friend directly. Professor Helios and I spoke about him temporarily housing his pony in the larger stables until the weather improves for him to build one of his own. I didn't want you to think I had forgotten, with all that's happened.

I shall look over that, perhaps I missed it the last time I did reading of the guide. And thank you, that would mean a great deal to me.

[He's taken by surprise a little.] Oh that would be a splendid idea, I shall talk to Feliks about this the next time we meet. Although, perhaps I could bring him to the meeting with you and Mister Silverberg? If you do not mind of course.

If you would like to, I'm sure that would be fine. I have to admit I'm curious as to where he's been keeping this pony of his up until now, anyway...

Thank you Professor Raine, will you be contacting me or shall I contact you?

We can discuss it at school once we get back. Albert may put up a communication regarding the outcome of the battle, depending on how it goes, as well. Though if we're to get new feathers next month, it may be after the cycle quiets down.

It has been some time since we've had new feathers come in, hasn't it? Well, you may contact me whenever you are ready to discuss things.

Some time. The past few cycles have seemed to lean toward the pattern of every two months, so we will see if that will remain true again.

I've noticed that as well, I wonder what the Malnosso are planning.

I suppose it must be easier for them to stagger the arrivals, given the troubles on their end. It used to be once every month, after all, though last year was rather irregular to that pattern.

It does sound rather suspicious when you think on it, making me wonder if there's some plan going on.

What do you mean? The new feather cycles are usually straightforward, where they are concerned.

For some time I've had a theory the Malnosso are either trying to decrease our population or only increase it in small numbers in case they need soldiers for their battles.

We weren't always used as soldiers. And if anything, the population seems to be at a steadier flow, nowadays; for all those that are managed to be returned home, there are more to replace them.
