Ok, so even if someone did get stuck in a car that way why would it be impossible to restart the car and unlock it?

I wish there was a 911 call out there like this...

"HELP!!! I'M AT A GAS STATION, I'M OUT OF GAS, I PUT THE NOZZLE IN THE OPENING TO THE GAS TANK BUT IT'S NOT PUMPING!!!"

"Proceed to squeeze the handle."

I honestly don't know. I think one caller said her car wouldn't start or something. But even if the car's locks are electric, they can all be manually lifted/switched. In my brother's case he could have also switched on the dome lights which are conveniently located on the rear view mirror.

That call could only get better if the using-a-cellphone-makes-gas-pumps-explode myth was true.
