meant to get between here and there in the most direct route without truding through grass

but time passes and buidlings move and sidewalks stay...

some forget why they take the sidewalks they do

they don't realize they now take them farther from their destinations

others never took the sidewalks to begin with...

Wow....very insightful. Why was this not in our discussion today? It's always in my thought, though. Shortcuts are always better. I don't know if I've made it clear through the way I live my life that I believe that...but I do, for the record.
