*sigh*  I'm subbing today for the Assistant Director, who's off in upstate New York attending a conference.  So instead of spending the day downstairs with the movies and audio books and kid stuff, I'm upstairs in the main library, dealing with reference and local history and everyone who wants to use the computers.

Gah! Public library reference can be hell, 'tis true. I think everyone who works in a library, no matter what field or specialty, should be required to spend some time working P.L. reference. Partly because it's the basic trench warfare of librarianship, and partly because since I had to suffer through it for two years I think everyone else should too! ;P

Hopefully the nutjobs will stay away from you today.
