Duelists of the Roses

Having borrowed my brother's friend's copy of the PS2 YGO game Duelists of the Roses, I set out, as I always do, to beat the living daylights out of the game as fast as possible. Beating the daylights out of a game, or whatever other expression one wishes to use, means to not only beat the game, but to demolish it ( Read more... )

This is gonna sound really stupid... but I wish they would make a YGO game that WASN'T about dueling. Er... or rather, I kinda wish it was Pokemon style, so you could have a team of monsters and battle someone else's team of monsters directly. That would be pretty cool.

[i]Duelists of the Roses[/i] isn't quite the same as the average Duel Monsters game. It's more of a tactical card battling system. You still duel, but you duel on a 7x7 grid map made up of field tiles--Plains, Forest, Mountain, Wasteland, Ocean, Dark, Toon, Crush, or Labyrinth. It's kind of like Chess with cards. You have to use your monsters, spells, and traps strategically and make as much use of Field Power Bonus as you can ( ... )
