Had a good weekend this one just gone. Went punting on friday evening with my work colleagues and out for a nice dinner with the lovely Ed after. Punting in Cambridge is much better than punting in Oxford! There are lots of cool bridges and things to see (in one direction - in the other direction there's lots of greenery and a nudist beach). you had torrential downpours on Saturday? WHy oh why am I never in the right place at the right time. I would love a bit of rain to dampen down the oppresive heat! Saturday night I was sat outside the Snowdina View at Waunfawr stuffing chill con carne and slurping scrumpy jack until well after 9.30 p.m. not even a hint of rain, although apprently it did rain a little in the night but cleared up again for the following morning.

It's quite oppressivly hot and sticky here in GLoucester today and I just wish the storm would turn up to sort it out and make it feel a lot fresher. Never mind I shall just have to think nice cooling thoughts.

We just had a humdinger of a storm. I am so glad we moved up the hill, cause the road at the bottom is now a river. The water feature that was our steps was quite pretty, though I'm worried about 'our' frog though, last seen swimming about under the cars outside our house rather than at the top of our garden.

It hasn't made it fresher though - more humid and sticky, except when we went for a paddle.

That sounds a great weekend (apart from the badly timed rain, which also timed itself for the live guiness book of records dance attempt in Trafalgar Square)
