Oh my! I am sorry to hear that you feel this way. There are things that you can do as a parent to that child, it just takes time and effort and its icky. However as a parent you should have a part of that childs life, and there are laws and rules about this for that reason.

Relationships are very hard. I think a lot of people have unrealistic expectations of what relationships would be. You'll find what you need, it just takes time.
