It would appear that the house warming party is not in fact cancelled.

The vendor has rolled over and kicked their legs in the air; they are going to carry out all of the essential work to the house, provide documented guaruntees on the work and then pay for half of the re-survey costs in order to satisfy our paranoia.

Or inflatable sofa...? They fold flat when you get a real sofa...?

I do currently have a spare inflatable sofa (and matching chair) you could loan, but don't know how to get it to you... (a bit heavy to post)

Donr do bean bags. They are more expensive than they are worth and then when you get a sofa you realise you have nowhere to put the bloody things.

Plus some of us are old and once in one may never get out.
