Just finished reading "Jumper" by Steven Gould.

Whilst I'm not saying it's a masterwork of contempory fiction it was certainly a rollicking good story, compelling, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a quick no brainer read.

Just been to see it. Was fun, though the themes reminded me of Stars my destination, for some reason.

Oddly enough the afterword lists that book as a influence and reference.

Stars My Destination is a stonking read. If it is an influence, I can't fault them on choice.
