No idea.

But that's a good answer.

Ah, but that is only because it is unexpected, hmm?

I heard someone use that answer once, actually.
He got yelled at for not playing along.

Though possibly they just want a vacation.

Many find outrage in one who breaks the rules they themselves are constrained by. Or, perhaps, they are merely distressed at having been shown that they are not constrained, after all!

I don't think anyone in my world actually took that question that seriously.

[He has to chuckle] Simply because we do not see shomething, does that mean it isn't there?

When you could ask for gold or carpets?

It may not get me out of there, but I'd die rich or comfortable.

So, knowing that you are not trapped, you would choose to be so, for as long as it were a handsome and comfortable prison?

The ocean is an awful big place. There's no guarantee that I could find my way home if I had a boat. In that case, why risk dying horribly at sea?

Ah, but if it is a gaurantee you want..Well, there are no guarantees.

Certain death, or uncertain survival? One who risks nothing cannot gain something in return.

Because that's sensible.

Another sensible answer no one ever seems to choose is a distress flare.

Ah, but flares are only useful if there is shomeone to see them, hmm? And, even if they see it, who will they send, and why?

Vultures find the sickly as easily as healers.

Um... I don't know. i guess people just don't think they're supposed to say that?

I'm pretty sure that's what I would say, though...

[Have a delighted Turtle-chortle! Oogway is pleased.]

And, do you do often go against what you are 'supposed' to do?

[Isn't that what his whole journey is about? Doing what he's not supposed to, apparently, by leaving home and becoming a hero and rising up to the challenge despite his age and any doubts. This is what he considers before he replies, just to make sure he's certain.]

Yes, i think so. I don't think I would have ever guessed I'd be doing the things I am now a year ago...
