The fox is reborn in a distant land. He grows old without ever seeing his own kind again.

That's depressing as Hell. And I know depressing.

There is another ending, if you would like to hear it.

The fox is reborn in another land, washed up on the beaches. He grows old, and never again meets another of his kind.

Why do they just wait? Why not fight for life?

Because even if dey were to live, dey are trapped. A blind fox cannot hunt, or run from the wolves. If not the sea, then the world itself will devour dem. They are not dying, nothing ever really dies.

He knows, he will return. One day.

Life is still worth living though. Just waiting to die seems pointless.
