Hibiscus? heydaya July 28 2010, 19:39:55 UTC
Would Hibiscus grow where you are? Just a little of the dried blossoms turns tea water a lovely deep red. The flavor is strong, but good, a little fruity. Just a thought.

excellent thought!1

I had considered Black Hollyhock (which makes tea purple) but I have only one plant blooming this year (more due to bloom next year) and so have too few blossoms---- I DO have a hibiscus tree/bush about to flower, however, so YAY!!

Yay! I love Hibiscus tea, so am always happy to spread the crimson-colored love!

Hollyhocks are some of my favorite flowers in the world - they bloom right outside my window at work, and they're just so lovely and old-fashioned looking. I'll have to look up pictures of black ones, they sound gorgeous!

oooo! Purple tea! I'd love to see some pictures of purple tea. Grats on the new (woodle) comp!

I miss you, and hope that you are doing well. I can't remember if we ever sent you the bottle collection we saved for you (maybe with the latex vulture?)

I think of you often. GoodWOOSHes to you!

of color in most herbal teas but hibiscus is a winner - tastes good and looks purty...
