i know what you mean about the softball thing. remember the orioles?!?!? good times. the best. but i know what you mean. i miss it too and it would be great to go back but it's hard. i'v basically lost all my ability to throw and catch cause i haven't done it in 2 years and the coaches are really mean (so are some of the girls) and it's a much bigger commitment. my family kinda pressures me too. especially at first but you just need to stick to your guns cause they'll see what you do eventually. and i dont think your dad wants to live through you, i just think he's looking out for you and what you once loved and also your future. dont sweat it hun. and just take everything day by day. it makes growing up go a lot slower
hi sweetie, i went through the same things in hs with basketball and softball. after years of loving them and playing them i just had to decide what i wanted to do--and obviously that was theatre. i still missed sports a lot (and do still kind of) and it took my dad a LONG time to realize that id make the right choice...and i think a part of him still wants me to be into sports, but he sees that theatre is what i really love. i know i made the right choices now, but at the time its really hard to see that clearly. just follow your gut, but also realize that not everything you do needs to be directly related to the kind of future you want. everything pans out in the end and who you are as a whole (not just you're resume) is whats going to get you far in life because you're a wonderful person :-) hang in there kiddo. i miss ya. love jen
