Annie was spayed yesterday. She's doing pretty well, but she's to smart for the buster collar (cone/lampshade shaped collar). We had to go back today and get a Bite Not collar. It's quite similar to a neck brace that a neck injury patient would wear. She hasn't even tried to get it off, and it much less intrusive on her daily activities. The ( Read more... )

At the end of May, Matt and I are moving to a new apartment a LOT closer to work. It's a little bigger, and looks a lot bigger because it has a more open floor plan. The rent is higher, but we'll save the difference on gas. It's in a much nicer neighborhood. Tuesday night, Matt left work almost three hours early to surprise me by coming home early. And he brought flowers.

It's the little stuff.

My little brother didn't come home last night. He's home now and he's okay, but wow was that scary. He fell asleep at a friend's house (a place he didn't tell my mom he was going). Matt came home from Wisconsin last night. He was there for 3 days for a competition for work and I missed him so much! I've never lived alone before, and I found out it wouldn't work out too well. My mom is out of state so I'm cooking a turkey this year. I've done all the sides before, but this is my first turkey so wish me luck!

Apparently, nibling is a term that can be used to collectively refer to both nieces and nephews. So I have 3 nephews, 1 niece, and one undetermined nibling for a combined total of 5 niblings! What a fun word.
