As some of you may know, I have a separate blog for writing related information. So if you're interested in my professional pursuits, check out Scribacious. That is all.

Hey Faith - totally not related to your post but I thought you had posted a cartoon about the way smart adults like ourselves get sucked into the twilight books. Do you still have that - I was trying to explain (ie defend) myself to Ed last night and thought of the cartoon.

I was trying to explain (ie defend) myself to Ed last night and thought of the cartoon.

Tell him you like reading suspensful novels written by women about three-dimensional female protagonists and vampires actually based on Eastern European mythology (Bulgarian vampires sparkle - that's how you can tell they are vampires) rather than repeating the same trite Hollywood drivel. ;-) Beneath the overt sexist teenage romance stuff, there are actually some subversive feminist messages in the series (a female character who drives plot, is not a cheerleader, feels sexual desire, is not a sex object, teams up with other female characters when the chips are down, is highly intelligent yet deeply flawed and not willing to use her powers of deduction to be a side-kick, and who is a pacifist.)

I can back all that up if you like. :-) Although I should probably write a Twilight post in my own journal.

The post with the cartoon is here. How are the ankle-biters, by the way?
