Filling time and space.

The semester is over and has been full of adventures, fun people, classes, and boring work. I managed to skip updating in November too. Whoops.

Our Halloween party, themed 'Villians Throughout the Ages' seemed to go over quite well. Mer and I enjoyed having lots of happy, entertained people celebrate with us. Check out facebook for pics of my /awesome/ Medusa costume. Also, I labeled the pumpkin seeds as 'Seeds of Despair', 'Seeds of Discord', etc. I was so pleased!

For Thanksgiving I went down to North Carolina and visited my parents, finally getting to see thier condo in downtown Raleigh. It was pretty neat. Kinda weird to see their old stuff in a new place, but I really liked it. Relaxing and a fun town, only downside being a slight milk issue one day. Also got to see the house they are in the process of building. Gonna be neat! Awesome views. And on the way back from NC I got to drive through Farmville and visit with Erin! Very nice.

Classes were quite boring this semester, but I managed to swing an A- in thermo, which was good. Still waiting on the grade for Crystal Structures. Course that prof grades on the check/check minus scale and all the assignments I got back were checks. Hurr. According to the department chair, I only need two more MSE classes and the seminar course to be done with course work for my PhD! And techincally I finally actually graduate with my Masters this semester. Yeah! The new advisor so far is nice, and my new office mate is not crazy! All I've really been doing so far is ordering equipment still, and reading some papers, but she seems to have some interesting and neat ideas for actual research come next semester when I finally have some equipment to be doing stuff with.

Been making new friends and becoming better friends over the last month, enjoying their company and whatnot. And that's what I've got to share for today. :-)
