A/N: It has been quite some time since I've written a crack fic. And this...this is serious crack. I don't even know why I wrote it. It was written sometime in October, so I kinda just abrubtly ended it since I had no idea where I had been going with it.
Maybe I'll write more...I dunno...*shrugs*
It was around midnight when Eric finally decided to go to bed. He had been up waiting for a phone call from Ryan or Speed. He knew they had wanted some time alone, just the two of them. Being a relationship such as theirs called for that sort of thing. He didn’t mind.
But still, they had promised to call him, if only to check in. Because as much as Eric loved the two, they brought out the worst in each other. It was Ryan’s puppy eyes, they got to Speed every time and the older man couldn’t help but go along with anything his pup wanted. And since Speed would let Ryan do whatever he wanted…Eric hated to think about some of the possible outcomes.
At any rate, they’d probably gone to a late movie and didn’t want to call in case they woke him up. Ryan may have been overly mischievous at times, but he had a sweet streak large enough to give all of Miami a very large cavity.
As Eric turned off his light and settled down to go to sleep, his cell phone went off. He reached over to the nightstand where it was resting and looked at it long enough to see it was Ryan before answering.
“Hey baby,”
“Eric!” Ryan squealed, “Eric! Oh My God….no…shhh…” he giggled, hushing whoever was speaking to him in the background, “Eric!”
“Ryan…?”
“Huh?” Ryan questioned, seemingly stunned.
“Are you drunk?”
“No silly! Timmy won’t let me drink…no! Shhh! I’m talking with him.” There was a pause and Eric could hear some mumbling, “No, he wants to talk to me. Because I love him…”
“Ryan?”
“Eric! Oh my god, Eric! Is that you?! I was just talking about you!”
Suddenly there was a high pitched shrieking laugh from the younger man. It sounded like the phone dropped, there was a scuffle, and then Speed’s voice floated over.
“Eric?”
“Tim! What the hell is going on?”
“I think we’ve got a problem…” Speed said, barely above a whisper.
“What is it?”
“I don’t want to scare the others…but…but I think we might be dead.”
In the background Eric could hear Ryan and another voice, a female, start yelling, “No! I’m not dead!” “Ryan, we’re dead?!” “Nooo!”
“Tim…are you guys…high?”
“No.” Speed said bluntly, “We made brownies.”
Eric sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. Of all the stupid things, he would have never guessed Ryan and Speed would make hashbrownies. Or even get high.
“Where are you?”
“Who cares, we’re dead,” came Ryan’s melodramatic voice.
“Shut up Pup!” Speed growled, “Hey look, speaker phone.”
The conversation suddenly got louder.
“Speed…”
“Eric…man, you should be here. Being dead feels---”
“Where are you guys?” Eric snapped.
“Oooh…he’s angry.”
“Marisol?!”
“Uh-oh,” came Ryan’s giggling input.
“You guys dragged my sister into this?”
“It was her idea!” Ryan insisted.
“I called them.” Marisol said.
“So you could make…so you could get…” Eric growled, hardly able to finish his sentence.
“It wasn’t the original plan baby brother,” Marisol giggled.
“He’s gunna beat us up,” Ryan decided.
“No way, Timmy said we were dead…”
“You guys aren’t dead,” Eric sighed.
“That’s good to know,” Speed said, having been quiet for the most part.
“But you will be. Don’t move, I’m coming over.”
Eric hung up the phone. He wondered why they had decided to do this. More importantly, how had they been able? There was a reason Eric wasn’t so bothered by Marisol marrying Horatio. The man was supposed to protect his sister.
Of course he was probably working a double or something.
Quickly getting dressed, Eric rushed out to his car and headed over to the Caine residence. He seemed to get there in record time.
The three miscreants were easy to locate. They were all in the living room. Ryan and Marisol were sitting on the couch in a giggling fit and Speed was simply standing there. Eric could only assume they had listened to him and hadn’t moved.
“You guys can move if you want,” Eric sighed. Speed sat down, but the other two remained where they were.
“Hi…”Ryan giggled, staring up at Eric in his lost puppy way.
“Hi.” Eric replied, trying to figure out how to deal with the situation. Speed seemed the most relaxed, despite the death theory. He sat back in an arm chair, legs crossed and staring at Eric in a contemplating fashion.
He would be easy enough to handle. Maybe he could get Ryan to settle down a bit. Marisol, well he knew how to deal with his sister. This wasn’t the first time she’d been high around him after all.
“Mari…”
“Yes?”
“C’mere.” Eric said softly, beckoning his sister forward.
“Why?”
“It’s time for bed.”
“Okay.” Marisol said. She was always very agreeable in this state. She turned and placed a kiss on Ryan’s cheek and the young man hugged her.
“Bye Ryry…”
“Bye Riri…”
Eric didn’t know what to do with the names, nor the fact that Speed had actually giggled at it. Eric didn’t think Speed even knew what a giggle was.
Marisol swayed as she stood, and weaved her way towards her brother, past her brother, and down the hall. Eric turned and followed her quickly.
The woman simply flopped into her bed, and was out not soon after. Eric sighed as he moved his sister around to get her under the covers.
He had known how to deal with his sister, his lovers however...now that posed a problem. Ryan was in a constant giggling fit, and Speed…well, he didn’t quiet know what to make of him.
As he made his way back to the living room, he could still hear Ryan’s occasional giggles. Speed looked from Ryan to Eric and he smiled.
Eric cocked an eyebrow and turned to go find some paper. He might as well let Horatio know what had been going on in his house.
“Can we watch Dogma?”
“No,” Eric called back to Ryan, who was now, he was sure, pouting.
He could hear Speed whispering comforting words to Ryan, who then in turn asked for more brownies.
“I think we have some left…”
“No, no you don’t.” Eric growled, returning to his lovers. He had no idea how much weed had been used, and he didn’t want to know either. His best bet was to just get the two home, or at least back to his place, and try and make them sleep.
Ryan was crawling onto Speed’s lap when Eric stopped to watch them. He was whispering sweetly, trying to coax more brownies out of his older lover. Speed’s grin got just a little wider, and he raised his eye brows.
“Well, in that case…”
“Timothy Speedle…”Eric growled. Speed glanced up with a sigh. Ryan turned his attentions to Eric as well. He stood and cantered over, pressing against the man, fiddling with his shirt collar before looking up through his lashes.
“Eric…” he said softly, a seductive smile playing across his lips.
“No, Ryan…”
“But…there’s a few left and…why let a good thing waste?” Ryan muttered, sticking his bottom lip out just so. Eric realized why Speed always let Ryan have his way.
“No.” Eric said again, firm in his resolve. He grabbed onto Ryan’s upper arm and started leading him away.
“C’mon Speed.”
Speed groaned and slowly stood up, stretched and then followed Eric.
“Eric…you’re hurting me…” Ryan whimpered.
“No I’m not, put on your seatbelt.” Eric said, helping Ryan into the backseat.
“You need to relax man…” Speed said, fumbling with the car door. Eric turned to him, bit his tongue and pointed him to the back seat as well.
“I don’t sit---”
“Now, Speed.”
Speed sighed and moved around Eric to get into the open door, crawling over Ryan in the process, causing the young man to burst into a fit of giggles yet again.
Eric didn't want to know what he found so funny.
Suddenly Ryan fell silent as Eric got into the drivers seat, and stared intently towards Eric through the rear view mirror.
"Eric."
"Yes Ryan?"
"Did you know...you have..." he was trying not to giggle, "Delkotorski!" he burst out and began howling as if he'd just said the funniest thing on the planet. Eric was even less amused when Speed could be heard laughing just softly enough to barely be noticed.
"You two are so grounded."
"You're not my mom." Ryan said indignantly.
"I haven't been grounded since..." Speed stopped to think, "Ever."
"Yeah, you prolly just ran away from home when ever your parents got mad." Ryan snarked with a slight grin. Speed turned to look at him, and Ryan gasped, fearing sudden wrath.
Then Speed slowly smiled in amusement and nodded his head, "Yeah....I did."
Both began to laugh.
Eric started the car.
God was this going to be a long night.
