I haven't watched it yet, but gathering from what people told me... everything they showed on air was edited. The Lionel Richie song wasn't even sang in front of the judges. That song only was sang in front of the show producers in round 2, but they edited Simon in to that whole montage.

My actual audition wasn't even show apparently. I sang the Mentos jingle from the commercial, and Michael Jackson's You Are Not Alone. Paula liked me. Randy thought I was funny. Simon said he thought the whole thing was a comedy act. The guest bitch said I sounded too much like Michael Jackson and said they were looking for something "original." They all voted no though. All in all, I guess the audition wasn't "bad enough" to show on air, yet I wasn't generic enough to show on air.

I'll probably watch it on my Tivo when I'm drunk enough.

thats exactly it. You weren't fucking horrible so they didn't show your actual audition. You didn't make it to Hollywood so they didn't show your audition.

I knew they edited it. It's blatently obvious.
