Usually, they tell me what it is they want. Or think they want.

I give them what they ask for.

I get the satisfaction of a job done~ And, of course, I hold on to the payment for that job.

Money is the exception, yes. Something of equal value as the wish and money is a poor measurement tool in that regard.

Equal value... Like what?

It would be impossible for me to answer that question without knowing the wish and the wisher. The price could range anything from something the wisher deems insignificant to, for example, a soul.

Why would you want a soul?

It is not a matter of why I would want it, or even if I want it at all. It is a matter of what is required -- a mandatory sacrifice if you will, though I prefer the term "price" -- for the wish to be granted.
