one of the hardest things about writing dialogue is giving each character a consistently different voice. I don't mean phrases or mannerisms, that's easy. But how do i keep characters from being the same smartass from character to character?

I wish I were actually good at this.

Practice.

who am I kidding? dialogue is nobody's friend.
