I was totally obsessed with these books in middle school, and still have a soft spot for them. Mat and, um, Logain were pretty much the only characters who didn't drive me insane by the end, though. :D

Oo, Logain gets to be a more present character? His name has been mentioned a lot, but so far all I've seen of him has been after he's been Gentled. Sort of moping around the White Tower. I'm crossing my fingers that Perrin doesn't annoy me too much! He's my favorite so far ^_^ But I've heard from many sources that the characters get terribly irritating after awhile.

Takes him 8000 pages or so but yeah, Logain becomes more of a significant character - him and Tuon being the only good things about the later books.
And yes, so many characters get insanely annoying by the end, Rand being the most obvious example but Perrin probably the worst (sorry). Mat, on the other hand, gets less annoying from here on, so you have something to look forward to. :)
I've had New Spring for years, though it's been lent out to someone for most of that time and I don't remember to whom. :( It's probably the best book in the series, imo. It I might consider reading again, but as for the whole series - well, with my limited free time, I'd be done with my army service before I got to the end. :D
The best thing about WoT? It's perfect for rping in. I must have written novels in that world...
