Thank you! Something funny - I was looking at the Watching the Detectives stuff on imdb and saw you had posted there. Did you not like Super Troopers as well? The other Broken Lizard movies I've seen were, as you said, unfunny, but I did like Super Troopers. I'm sure I'd had a drink, tho...

hahaha! It had moments, but I was high (those funny cigarettes I tell ya!). So I'm sure it helped me sit through it.

Ooh, I love your list! I love so much of it that it makes me want to check out the rest. Blue States? And people have been telling me to check out Belle & Sebastian. I'm finally got Pet Sounds just recently (I had a resistance to the Beach Boys).

Aw, Fishbone! And the Smiths. And Prince. And Michael Jackson before he was white. And Squeeze! And Mingus Ah Um. And OK Computer. And Rain Dogs. And so many things that were on my list too. And stop me before I read your whole list back to you...

You cutie. I found the Blue States because I LOVED the song that starts the credits rolling at the end of 28 Days Later. Most of it is pretty mellow electronica, and for some reason I've been playing it a lot lately, esp. at work. I had Beach Boys resistance, too, but Pet Sounds won me over. And a few of the extremely weird tracks on Smiley Smile.
Belle and Sebastian: If I may caution you, go only for the early stuff. I believe they made Tigermilk as a school project that blew everyone's hair back, If You're Feeling Sinister is great, there's a slew of early EPs that are great, then they came out with Boy With the Arab Strap and lost me. And I haven't been interested ever since.
PYTs unite! (and shoplifters, too)

OK, a few more comments... Vince Guaraldi -- I adore that album. And Tenacious D -- my old rock band got obsessed with that while driving on tour. We couldn't stop singing it.

I love Cibo Matto, but I was disappointed by Stereotype A. My fave is Viva! La Woman.

So many of my favourite albums here, from London Calling to I'm With Stupid, VU, Elvis Costello, XTC, Talking Heads ... and of course Tom Waits. And the Shins. And Tigermilk. Seeing this makes me happy to know you.

Well, thank you very much! Beef Jerky was always my fave track on Viva! La Woman, but my copy skipped and jumped, so I never play it. I should just get a new one. I still stand by Stereotype A.
