My goal with this video was to be as ghostly and ethereal as possible, to capture the atmosphere of something not quite touchable that the song speaks of. I tried to get that by using a fragmented style, sort of messy and colorful and all over the place.I also wanted to bookend the video with context, which is why I started with audio clips and ended with audio clips, both from speeches Finn made to Kurt about their relationship. I still find it kind of ironic that he is always the one reaching out and pulling Kurt back in when Kurt wanders far enough away. I'm fascinated by their relationship. Kurt may not be in love with him anymore, but Finn's feelings for Kurt are just beginning to develop. That's my thesis statement to this video.
Yet again, I've vidded a song so so many people have. Do I care? Much less than I should. I vid to songs that move me to vid to them. That's just how I roll.
