Is this thing on? If so, HAY everyone who is reading. (I first typed 'everyone is reading!' yay literacy!) Um, I may or may not have gotten some Goldschlager tonight. And by that I mean I DID and I am getting a little drunkerpants by now. So I am going to do that meme, if you comment here, I will say something nice or something I like or love about ( Read more... )

You are pretty much the epitome of awesome in my book, seriously. You were a young mom and your kids seem SO awesome and as a fellow mother, I look up to you. I couldn't have done it at that age. Your photography is incredible, every post you make with it amazes me. I'm a painter and writer so that medium is foreign to me, so I am jealous and awed at the same time. To have the eye that can see the beauty in what is right in front of us- to capture a moment or a view that one may miss in the blink of an eye- that's amazing.

You are also incredibly smart and funny and you know your shit. When you butt heads with someone, you know what you are talking about and can back a bitch into a corner, but you do it with smarts and facts. That's class.

I'm very glad you are on my flist, I think you're a really good person and I like seeing your life.

awwe you are so sweet this literally made me tear up!

i feel like photography is so mundane FOR that reason. all i do is shoot what is right in front of me! i have so much respect for people who can paint (i can paint too, but i am REALLY lazy) because of all the work that goes into it (MONTHS for one piece of art sometimes!!) and for being able to visualize something new out of either small bits and pieces (reference material) or nothing at all (pure imagination). to me that is true artistic talent, creating from nothing! so you also have my mad respect because painting is HARD and there isn't that constant immediate gratification of completion to keep you going!

My husband is a composer, so I deal with this feeling all the time, lol (working toward his masters in composition and/or conducting, and then his doctorate). I tried to play guitar from 15-18 or so, and just couldn't get it down. And yet he can sit there and write the most beautiful music... I just, I just don't understand, you know? He plays at least 10 instruments, and writes these symphonies and fugues and just... the most beautiful things. I am just grateful that he is in my life, I learn so much about music from him. And I am grateful YOU are there, too, your photos are so incredible!

You are one of the most patient and hopeful people I know. When you have a hurdle in your relationship, you power through it. I only hope it's because you believe in what you have, and not because you feel stuck (sorry if that sounds blunt! It's been a while since we've talked). I wanted to be honest there, though.

You are a great mom, and even though you are sweet and have appeared naive in the past, you are the type of person who seems to learn from your experiences and take that forward with you. I love that about you. Constantly learning and growing. I still strive for that and I am quite a bit older than you.

You are so inspiring to me. I don't think I've ever known someone who is so humble (even if you doubt it a lot). Your faith is admirable, and I love how you are constantly searching for answers about yourself while still remaining so selfless to others. I've said this to you a million times, but I don't think I can say it enough- I love your ability to see the beauty in everything, the potential in everyone.

oh, Jennerbenner--I really didn't mean for you to comment, I just wanted you to know you made me laugh. But, as always, thanks for the good words. I wish I knew you in person :)

It makes me happy to tell you how beautiful you are in so many ways! I guess that's a co-dependent gift, but I can't think of a better one to give ;)
