Lots of damage north of me. The warnings were for my area, too. Thank goodness we didn't have any of the major weather. Lots of rain. High winds and still windy today. Ouch on the furlough day. Bigger ouch on the losing the compressed schedule. I guess it's like this all over, what with the economy. It feels like this is more justified in Fla, where prop values had dropped to HALF. Why is your department so underfunded?

Either Hawaii or Georgia don't remember which is getting 2 furlough days a month and has been since last October! So far we only have the one and no more. Course that could change. State employees all over the country are being hit by the economy.

It's gorgeous today. Been working in the yard already. Lots of flowers in bloom and more to come.
