A Day in the Life: Emma Swan
Challenge for womenverse: A day in the life of Emma Swan (pre-curse breaking)!
6:45am: My alarm goes off. I hit the snooze button.
7:27am: Wake up and realize didn't hit snooze, I shut my alarm off and now I've overslept. I quickly rummage through clothes on the floor, find a clean-ish pair of jeans and a clean shirt that I may have forgotten to fold the night before and get dressed.
7:42am: Pull my hair back as I run out the door to head to Granny's for a cup of much needed coffee and a bear claw.
7:46am: Try to start up the bug. It stalls out twice before kicking back to life with a noticeable rattle.
7:54am: Get my coffee and doughnut, and I get stopped by Ruby; apparently David and Kathryn were arguing at the diner last night for dinner and I should totally tell Mary Margaret. I suppress the urge to tell Ruby that judging by MM's unbuttoned sweaters lately, that I think she already knows.
8:07am: Park bug outside of the Sheriff's station. I slam my head on the steering wheel when I notice a black Benz parked a few spots away. Get out of car and head inside for a lecture from the Mayor.
8:31am: Watch Regina finally leave the station, and reach into desk drawer for aspirin that are suddenly incredibly necessary. I sit down at my desk and drink my cooling coffee and eat my doughnut as I check messages; nothing noteworthy.
9:15am: Start to work on some budgetary paperwork Regina dropped off.
10:34am: Feel my eyes getting heavy and a little bit of drool pooling in the corner of my mouth. Get up and play darts to wake myself up.
11:10am: Get a call from Archie; Pongo ran away and he needs assistance finding him. I head out to look for Pongo by the forest.
12:17pm: Head back to the station after finding Pongo and slipping in a bit of mud; my jeans are no longer clean-ish. Hear Henry's walkie-talkie crackle and answer. He wants to see me after school so I promise to swing by and walk him home (well, for a little bit of it, at least).
12:31pm: Drop Pongo off with Archie, and head to my apartment to change.
1:13pm: Get back to the station (after swinging by Granny's for a grilled cheese and some fries), and write up the paperwork for responding to the Pongo call.
2:45pm: Leave to go meet Henry at school, then walk him almost to his house. Give his shoulder a quick squeeze and tell him I'll see him tomorrow.
3:10pm: Go on patrol around the town. Find nothing. Then I go back to the station to trade the squad car for my bug and head home.
4:55pm: Get home to find Mary Margaret chopping tomatoes pretty aggressively. Have some girl talk about David until Mary Margaret waves me off and I go take a shower.
5:44pm: Walk back out to kitchen to delicious smelling food and have dinner with MM. Then sprawl out on the couch and watch TV.
8:35pm: Get walkie-talkie call from Henry asking to meet him tomorrow to discuss "something big" that he just found in his book.
10:14pm: Get phone call from Granny on my work cell to go pick up Leroy for drunken behavior for the third time this week.
11:09pm: Deposit Leroy in cell and let him sleep it off before heading back home to crash.
11:11pm: Get into my car and notice the clock. I make a wish that I will get to spend more than five minutes with Henry tomorrow.
11:34pm: Get back to the apartment and head up to my bedroom. Set phone alarm for 6:45am and then another one for 7am and put it on full volume, and then I go to sleep.
