There are tons of silly French idiomatic phrases:
Poser un lapin a quelqu'un (to lay a rabbit on someone) means to "to stand somebody up"
and C'est la fin des haricots(It's the end of the green beans) means "Things are hopeless"

One of these days I'm just going to go around saying these phrases in English and laugh at the mass confusion that follows.
Maybe I will start some new colloquialisms!
