"Thebes?" asked one of the guards, pausing. "I thought Thebes was ruled by a queen," he said thoughtfully.

"It is," responded the other guard. "And I thought she only had daught--"

"THIEVES!"

Their prisoner had had quite enough of their misunderstanding.

I was kind of thinking about it.

I read this book once set in the Egyptian Thebes, and the Queen was in charge instead of the King (probably because there wasn't one).

So really the Thebes here is pretty much like the real one, only kind of different.

Yeah, I read the caption under the guy with the dinosaur and I started giggling, and then the song played, and Elizabeth was like, "Don't have a fit, Molly," but she didn't know what was going on.
