Here's a story about a 12 week old who died due to "shaken baby syndrome",http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/08/15/shaken.baby/index.html. The father is in custody

...And this is why I don't have children myself. I honestly don't think I could cope. Noises annoy me and really set me on edge. This isn't the only reason, of course, but I know I would make a not so good parent. Luckily there are people out there that really want children and who are great parents. I applaud them. I just can't be one of them.

...and I think it takes a lot of strength to make that decision. Too many people just go ahead and have kids because they're "supposed to".

You know what I love doing? I LOVE buying baby clothing for the children of my friends. Baby clothes are SO CUTE. :-D

I actually knew a woman who was harangued by her mother-in-law to have grandchildren. I don't mean teasing, I mean major pressure. I felt really sorry for her.

Of course, she has the same pressure about finding a husband as well…

My sister too-she doesn't want kids but she loves dressing up mine. Considering she's a buyer for Macy's that's just fine with me!!

Yeah, the "when are you going to make me a grandmother" question... Why don't people realize how inappropriate that is??
