The recession sucks - big time!

I had to sell my place in preparation for moving abroad...... and it basically brought in 70% of what it was worth 2 years ago! Not very happy about it... but hey, housing is cheaper over in NZ! And it took 5 months to find a buyer - I'm now living out of a large suitcase at a friends!

Exactly, and we wish to stay in the same housing market-specifically the same neighborhood. We'd never sell our house and buy a bigger one... Plus we love our little house- we just need it to be a wee bit bigger. :-) I've missed our communications! Thanks for checking in. :-)

Our house value has gone to shit too. We bought the house at 109,000, it appraised three years ago at 140,000 and when we tried to refinance last year we were told it wasn't worth 100,000. IE, we're FUCKED if we tried to sell it right now.

So glad you've decided to post. I have missed you're posts. :) I don't know if I have you friended on facebook. It's not like I use it very much. Too much information overload.

**laugh** And I just haven't jumped on the FB bandwagon. If FB was the ONLY way I communicated with anyone, then I'd be screwed because I really just don't like it very much. There are a FEW things I do like about it and one of them is the last.fm handshaking it does so that it pulls my music picks over there and displays them. That and the flickr handshake it does too. Beyond that, if it didn't exist, I'd be ok with that.

Thanks for reminding me about the last.fm handshake, I haven't used it much lately due to my iTunes usage.
