For awhile now, as for lots of folks, the holidays have been a tricky time for me. Thanksgiving (a reminder that I have no true family on my father's side) leads into my birthday leads into Christmas leads into New Years. Now, increasingly, illness complicates this equation ( Read more... )

I wish I could send you latkes and hugs from my house to yours. Because really, latkes and applesauce have the power to make anyone happy.
I'm sorry you feel lonely. The recent cold weather (unusual for LA) and the holidays make me feel the same way too. There's nothing I'd want more than a silent snuggle companion.
