"all these pictures of you..."

Feb 05, 2007 09:26

It's been weeks since I've written here - so before it becomes a full month, I thought I'd do something out of character for this journal, and post a survey. (What can I say? All the crazy kids are doing it these days.) This one's actually pretty interesting; I copy/pasted it from a certain tiger's journal, and I'd love if anyone wants to post ( Read more... )

*a-hem.* well sir, i did actually consider that you're a rather new friend, and were likely to mosey on over to this. and that it was a bunch to read at once, etc. etc. but - i'm nothing if not a believer in being upfront. (although she flatters me, the way sassayaku [the lovely girl posting below you] describes my mush of stories mixed together is very much me.) empathy & kindness, but no bullshitting, you know? after all, you found me & luuuured me in via a site where i quote ani's "i want someone who's not afraid of me or anybody else; in other words i want someone who's not afraid of themselves" as my ideal.

in other words, your "hmmm..." is rather ambiguous after a lil' pink girl like me jest pooours her whole durn heart out on the page! [yes, yes definitely insert Southern Drawl into previous statement.] also: hmm... back atcha. you're a curious one, that's what i reckon thus far - yesiree, curious to say the least!

ahh - look at you, grabbing onto that Lloyd Dobbler comment as quickly as you can! what does that not surprise me?! ;), also back atcha.

and indeed, i wouldn't have written you back - especially since it meant remembering your email, after a few weeks of being unable to do much online stuff - if i didn't agree that you & i would have a good time getting to know each other. but yoooou are still ambiguous about what was (the above) me totally pouring out small pieces, but nonetheless lots of small pieces, of my oh-so-deep inner core! seriously, though - if you really want to live up to the Lloyd reference, wouldn't you have said something sweet to me by now, snide one?

(and yes, like you, i do enjoy banter with bite. so no, my tone is not intended to be - well, biting! at least not in a bad way.)

So much sadness and joy and courage mixed together in this survey... I'm sorry to read about some things- I had no idea.
I'm sure that you'd make a wonderful mother to a child who needs special love & care. [You have such a positive energy- a gift for turning sad experiences into wisdom and hope.]

P.S. I'd like to know more about that writing project!

you. you are always such a sweetheart. the way you speak things about me as simple truths... they're what i Hope to be, what i wish for, what i intend to get across - whether i'm doing it consciously or subconsciously. i suppose this translates to - you not only flatter me, but you Get Me.

i would truly like to hug you one of these days, sweet girl. ONE DAY we're just gonna have to figure out a way around these thousands of miles, bodies of water, and all that jazz!

heya back, cupcake! i've missed wordingsharing with you! guess what? i'm feeling pretty darn fine again, and there just happens to be a Lush Valentines Event (well, it's four days before the actual "big day") this weekend. i know you were bummed about missing it last time, so i thought i'd let you know, and this time i'm actually nearly a week ahead of time! it's a banner day!

so - what say you, lovely? there are going to be sweet smells galore, kissy-kissy games, cute strangers, free soapy things & other various samples, and a raffle for a very large pink prize! sounds pretty hard to go wrong there!

hey, you! don't worry about it at *all*; i haven't exactly been in touch either. i was actually feeling a bit bad, because i didn't want you to think i just messaged you randomly & didn't truly have followup about wanting to hang out & get to know each other. i'd love to meet up sometime this week! besides a few doctor visits, my work & playtime is so far all pretty flexible this week - email me, if you like! oh, and (1.) there's an amazing play coming to my favorite play in the area, that i think you might be super-interested in [aaaand] (2.) check out my message to jessicamelusine! (who is, indirectly and smilingly, the lovely lady who brought us together in the first place! at any rate - this coming sunday, Lush has an open playday once again!

Perhaps if the missive had been written "Hey... FUCKING SEND ME AN EMAIL, I'm BORED!" I was only expressing the desire to spend the afternoon chitchatting back and forth in the virtual privacy of email communication. If that's a bit too forward then perhaps I owe you an apology for my internet command caps-lock addled bark..

aww, and he's already showing the potential of his sensitive side/soft underbelly. well, thank goodness for that; here's to living up to the nickname i tossed out & you so readily latched onto! [bonus points, by the way, for clearly getting the Lloyd reference. ...and rock on eighties & early nineties culture, 4-eva] so, i'm busy for a little bit - darting about my house, pretending i'm resting for a big appointment tomorrow, but really attending to a few dozen chores inbetween reading & watching a dvd! - but i have an idea. you, sir, could write me an email with your own full response to this survey! whaddya think - up to the challenge, L. Dobbler?!
