Hey, hey you. Thanks for checking in on me; I know we had hopeful visit plans that more-or-less fell through. But, you should know, when traveling & telling many stories of many places- it's hard-put to think of a time you fail to come up
( ... )
P.S. Jeff McDaniel sometimes send each other facebook messages about basketball and Joy Division now. I had korean food for dinner with him and a couple of swell ladies (not a double date ahhaha) a few months back, too. He's awesome.
P.P.S. I had something else fun to say, but now I can't remember it.
D'oh.
P.P.P.S. I have been going through some really, really strangely intense SLC nostalgia recently. Do you ever get that? It's like I can *feel* myself being back there...Really wild. I visited there about a month ago, and it was amazing. There is something about it that I will never, ever get tired of. What the hell is it about that time, that place? Maybe I should try to teach there someday or something, because I am still totally in love with it.
P.P.P.P.S. I remembered what it was, although it's not really "fun" at all. But it IS important. Are you into Arthur Russell? You would LOOOOOOVE his music. Whoo.
i am in your fair-portland-city. are you still shimmering around (oh--i hope so!)?
if the answer is an affirmative we should frolic & drink tea & talk about the magic o' unicorns & other affinities (did you know that my new literary journal is entitled retired unicorn?). mind-sync!
