This is what happens when a bookworm/research fiend becomes a reformed television snob! (And also happens to have a past in theatre.) I tend to research performers & director/creators of/from the select shows I really like; especially those who interest me an extra-lot for whatever reason. Generally, with the performers, its' a hunch based on their stunning performance in one role; Phillip Seymour-Hoffman is a long-term example of this; and it balloons into a massive sort of crush on their intelligence as people & actors, after reading various interviews & watching them talk about performing, etc. Although Mr. Marsters' all-around swoon-worthiness does not hurt! There's actually a very elusive (aka: I haven't found it yet) clip of him singing with Amber Benson. Which... just... well, the very thought of seeing such a thing is orgasm-worthy for me.
