So ... sadness. I don't think I'm going to be able to plant my vines after all. My patio just doesn't get enough sun. Normally this would be the LAST thing I'd complain about though, so I can't feel too sorry for myself. I'm going to watch the sun this Saturday and see what happens. I thought I read on the Winepod site that you get grapes at a good price through them?

Yeah, you can. But, I really want (need really, if I'm ever going to do this for real) the experience of working with the actual vines. Learning about winemaking is actually the third step, the first being learning about finished wine.

My Mom has a sort-of connection to one of the vineyard owners around here, so maybe Michael and I can start working there one day a week. Of course, this is the hottest time to do it, but hey, if I can't take it, I shouldn't be doing it.
