Ok, here are my goals for 2009. Honestly, what I really want over all for this year is to feel like I'm moving forward in the "right" direction with my life. So, these seem to be good ways to help accomplish that, but if I fall short and am still on a good path, so be it. :-)

  1. Health
    1. General: Lose up to 50 pounds and feel physically fit.

Didn't we read Ender's Game and 1984 in Gothic Tales? We did. You did too. Does that count as a point? ;)

What are you going to do for the exercise part? Obviously, you've said what kind of exercise you'll do, but I mean like tapes, or classes, or what? Cause I would love to do Pilates, but I think it would be better to do WITH someone. I've heard that it's better with a spotter, you know? Since we don't happen to have a mirrored work-out room for me to check my own posture and stuff to make sure I'm doing the moves right. :P Is there a day of the week that you're consistently available in the evening? Aaron has Fridays, but there's no reason I couldn't go work out with you for an hour on Wednesdays or whatever.

I did, but don't remember them well, so they don't really count any more. As for the aerobics, I'll be mostly on the treadmill during winter and on my bike in the warmer months. For yoga, I'd like to start with tapes to ease myself back into it and when it warms up, join a studio in town. Pilates, I think I'll just stick to the tapes since I don't know where there's a studio and they tend to be kind of expensive anyway. But yes, a work out buddy is ALWAYS appreciated!

As for days I'm free: M, W, Th and F evenings, Sunday all day.

I thought Ender's Game is where you fell in love with the name Julian...
and Gabriel too? Or maybe just the character Julian. Is that the book I'm thinking about?
What are the Otherland books about?

I honestly don't remember where I got to love the name Gabriel. And it's been so long since I read Ender's Game, I can't remember most of it. But Julian I fell in love with from DS9.

So far Otherland is about several different people's interconnected stories, but most have to do with the world of the "net", which is basically an extension of our own internet, but with the addition of virtual reality sims. It's dense material so it's taking me a while to get through, but it's fun and interesting.

Love your pic by the way!
