Great You posted!!! Good job! I hope you can show me some techniques some time. Or if I can bring you some things I have drawn and give me some advice. :)
that drawing is really nice paige, her expression is lovely :] are you dressing up for Kawaii Kon too? i wish i could go :[ oh well good luck on meeting your deadlines, i know you'll do fantastic :D
Thanks Jessica! I hope so! ^^; As for the Kon, I'm gonna dress up but unfortunately I didn't have time to make a new costume this year... maybe next year. Why can't you go this time?
i just never have anyone to go with :[ i'd want my first Kon to be memorable and special :B (also i'd feel odd if i didn't dress up D: the thing is though i'd be too scared to dress up because i dont look like an anime character at all, i'd probably get thrashed for it u_u)
haha I guess we're all feeling the final sprint to the convention finish line!
I like that you used a prominent face with your business card, very eyecatching, plus to she's looking/glaring right at you! The only thing might be the font you used for your email and phone number, it might be just a little hard to read.
We really need to meet up again for lunch or something. Or spring break? :)
Thanks Dogo! Yeah, I was thinking that the font might be too hard to read (forgot to consider that I was editing a 1050x600 image which isn't going to be quite the same on a teeny tiny business card :P), so thank you for your input! I uploaded the newer version.
We should do something over spring break! My schedule is going to be pretty open in the afternoons; what's your schedule going to be like?
Very pretty image! :D I like the overall feel of the card. And the cropping, also~
As for the text, I suggest playing with the font colors/opacity a little more. Usually you want your name to be noticed first, but my eye goes straight to the bottom two lines because they contrast most. Also, the text feels like it's being pushed to the very edge of the card, which is dangerous not only when printing but if the card gets damaged at all you don't want it to affect the information. Printing a test and actually holding it in your hand helps a lot.
Never heard of Paper Forest before, but those business card specs sure look fancy! I look forward to seeing the final prints. :)
Thank you SO MUCH for your input, it really helps! o_o (I never would have even thought of those things that you've mentioned...) I'll definitely spend the next day working on managing the text.
I also wish I could've left feedback on your business card when you asked for it, but... heh... I really don't know the first thing about graphic design and couldn't think of anything to say. >>;
Oh don't worry about it, I got a surprisingly good amount of feedback already. X3;; Sent it off to printing last night, I'm also worried about that deadline (Sakura-con is same week as KK).
Let me know if you have any problems, I will try to help~
Hey, I am getting nervous. I have NOT heard anything from the card guy and the days are going by... =/ Also, are you going to post this anytime soon on DeviantArt?!? I have been checking everyday!!!! =P
