What a fantastic way to start off the new year-I’m officially going to vet school! I just found out to-day that I am accepted to Washington State’s College of Veterinary Medicine… I’m going to be a veterinarian!

I remember exactly what Kevin said to me eight months ago.

I got a really nice vibe from WSU when I interviewed there. I was waitlisted there and that's one reason I chose Western. Pullman is teeny but the people are great I think :) BEST OF LUCK!!!

Thank you so much!! I didn't interview there (I got in as a WICHE student) so I don't know exactly what the campus/people are like, so it's great to hear that from you! :D

I'm SO excited, this is going to be an amazing adventure.

The campus is pretty sweet -- they have a huge state of the art equine facility (I think they even have an equine hyperbaric oxygen chamber), and extensive lab/necropsy/hospital areas. The people were all extremely friendly -- the students I talked to, and the faculty who interviewed me (we were laughing and joking throughout my interview). My dad accidentally got our car stuck in the snow just outside of Pullman and literally at least eight different people stopped to ask us if we needed help, if they could call a tow truck for us, if they could hitch a rope up to THEIR truck to pull us out, etc. That's something that just doesn't happen in big cities, so I thought it was very sweet. But, I'm not gonna lie, Pullman is in rather the middle of nowhere and there's not much to do... so, bring a lot of alcohol! ;)

But I see now that you have quite the selection going on, so have fun deciding which place is right for you!
