[Since it's only roughly been a day since the gossip BBS had gone up, any avoidance M'gann had attempted to do had been lost on Conner. He had been left unsure and confused even of the 'news' about M'gann; they were friends, she had made the cupcakes and baked goodies for everyone and not just him. It was something he had refused to believe... and even now, still he refuses. It just seems too far-fetched despite the 'moments' they had shared in Bialya and in the Cave

Uh- no... No. I-- [Conner shakes his head and cuts himself off.] It's nothing.

[Teeny moment of hesitation and then Conner turns to head for the door, not sure of how to make of how he feels at that moment.]

[As much as she's been avoiding him, the fact that he was actually leaving now has M'gann panicking slightly.]

You... you don't want to stay for some cookies?

[It isn't the question that makes him stop and turn his head to look back at her, but it's the slight increase in her heartbeat that his super-hearing picks up on.]

...I'm not hungry. [A beat.] ...sorry.

Oh... okay.

[Her shoulders sag a touch in defeat.]

...yeah. [Conner nods and continues for the door, pausing in the doorway as it opens.] Later...
