So, given that we off-worlders are here against our will, it's completely understandable that most of us want nothing more than to go home. You know - back to our friends, families and stuff. And enemies, I guess.

Some of us get that wish, but it's just as unpredictable as us arriving here in the first place.

But not all of us want to go home.

I haven't been here long, but this place has become more of a home than I've had in a while. The only thing that kept me where I was was the memory of someone, and I think I can do him justice just as well here.

So, no, you're not alone.

The memory of someone, huh...? Why do I get the feeling you need to make some friends in the present?

I do well enough without them, and 'people who'd ditch you without blinking' isn't exactly helping the argument.

Anyway, here I was thinking we were establishing that not everyone wants out!

No way. You can't cling to your friends forever, they can go off and do their own thing if they want. It'd just be nice to have some people who'd wanna stick around.

And they can die. That's usually an option.
